Funeral services for Lorraine Parsons McClelland, 86, of Algona, formerly of Fort Dodge and Lehigh, were held Monday, Feb. 26, 2018 at First Lutheran Church in Algona at 10 a.m. with Rev. David Grindberg officiating. Visitation was Sunday 3 to 5 p.m., also at First Lutheran Church in Algona. Burial was at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Irvington. She died Feb. 21, 2018, at the West Bend Health and Rehab Center.

Ellen “Jean” (Penton) Simons was born in Algona on Nov. 14, 1932, the daughter of Chester Arthur Penton and Mary Ellen Carroll Penton. Jean grew up in the St. Benedict area. She graduated from Lu Verne High School in 1950.

Yvonne Gayle (Vickroy) Dewein, with her daughter, son and husband at her side, peacefully left this physical world on Monday, Feb. 12, following a 3 1/2 year battle against esophageal cancer. Yvonne was born Nov. 1, 1953, at Fort Bliss Army Hospital, El Paso, Texas, to Edward William (Bud) Vickroy and Zola Luree (Jones) Vickroy.
