Larry D. Franzen, 63, of Mason City, formally of Titonka passed away on Dec. 19, 2017 in Mason City. Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 22 at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Titonka with Rev. S. Kim Peterson officiating. Burial took place at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Titonka.

WESLEY — Grace Simpson, age 100, of Wesley died on Monday Dec. 18, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society in Algona.  
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at the Wesley Community Church in Wesley with the Rev. Cindy Finn officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Wesley.  Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., until the time of services on Thursday at the Wesley Community Church in Wesley.

Carol Ann Goetz, 75, Lake Wales, Fla., formerly of Minot, N.D., passed away on Dec. 1, 2017 at the Good Shepherd Hospice located in Auburndale, Fla.  
Carol was born on July 15, 1942 to Lester and Vera Kime in Austin, Minn.  She graduated from Austin High School in 1960 and became one of the youngest part-time employees hired at the G.A. Hormel Co. corporate office/plant in Austin, Minn.

Mass of the Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona with Rev. Ed Girres and Rev. Mr. Gerald Jorgensen celebrating. Burial took place at Calvary Cemetery in Algona.

HUMBOLDT — Richard “Casey” Thul, 96, of Humboldt, passed away Dec. 5, 2017 at the Humboldt Care Center South.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Humboldt.  Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt with a parish rosary at 5 p.m. Burial with full military rights will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Humboldt.
