MASON CITY—On to state. It never gets old said the two seniors who are headed for the Class 1A state tournament for the third time in four years on the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bear girls basketball team.
The top-ranked Golden Bears scored the first six points of the game along with 16 of first 20 points while cruising to a 63-31 victory on Wednesday, Feb. 24, over the BCLUW Comets in the regional final.
“It will never get old,” said senior Kaylyn Meyers after the win on Wednesday night. “Each time it is a little different. This year we were expected to get down there and that probably added a little more pressure.
