Erica Nuwash and Tim Sul of Dickinson, N.D., are the proud parents of a baby girl, Kylie Dale, born Wednesday, Jan. 24. 
She weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and was 20 inches long at birth. 
Erica and Tim are both police officers in Dickinson. 
Great-great-grandmother is Margaret Sankey of Algona, who celebrated her 92nd birthday on Jan. 30.

LAKOTA — Early Saturday morning, authorities were summoned to the scene of an alleged domestic dispute turned deadly that left Krista Lynn Hesebeck, 38, of Lakota in her home dead.Autopsy results determined the manner of death was due to sharp force injuries. The Des Moines Register reported she had been stabbed multiple times in the upper body with a knife.

The fourth annual Dancing with the Local Stars proves that anyone can dance with a little or a lot of practice. Kossuth County community members gathered together on Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3 to raise funds for Iowa Lakes Community College scholarships and a chance to have prime seating to see local stars bust a move. 

ALGONA — The members of Apollo 5 are excited about performing at the Ed and Betty Wilcox Performing Arts Center, on Saturday, March 10.
Performances will be at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
“We’re really looking forward to meeting people from the town itself,” said Clare Stewart, one of the singers for Apollo 5 in a phone interview on March 3. “They attend the music series and are used to seeing people perform. It is nice to see what people think about what we’re offering in our show.”

ALGONA — An era has come to an end at Ernie Williams Ltd.
Not only is KC Nielsen Limited completing the purchasing of the agriculture dealership, but Ed Wilcox, who has been with the company since 1966, and his son, Jim, who worked at the dealership while in high school in 1978 and later became a co-owner, will be ending a life-long journey that they both have enjoyed.
“It is a sad time. It is a little bit of a nostalgic time,” Ed said. “It was just time to make a change.”
