ALGONA—Senior Dan Meis led the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears’ baseball team into the Class 1A district finals with a 10-0, five-inning victory on Tuesday, July 8 over the Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire Titans.

Meis twirled a five-inning no-hitter with 13 strikeouts and one walk and provided the biggest blow in the game with a grand-slam home run in the bottom of the first stanza.
