ESTHERVILLE—In a preview of a possible Class 3A regional final, the Algona Bulldogs defeated sixth-ranked Estherville-Lincoln Central by the final score of 11-2 in five innings on Tuesday, July 1 in a non-conference softball contest.

Neither squad pitched their number one pitcher and the red-and-black got the best of that situation as they made the most of their seven hits in the contest and played errorless softball compared to three miscues by the home team.
