A Celebration of Life for Brian LeRoy Janssen, 45, of Titonka was held Sunday, April 14, 2024, at the Buffalo Creek Activity Center in Titonka. There was a “Last Call” at 5 p.m. conducted by the Titonka Fire Department.
Brian LeRoy Janssen was born Aug. 30, 1978, in Algona, son of LeRoy and Barbara (Torrence) Janssen. He grew up near Sexton attending Algona schools. He was married to Allie Ebaugh on April 28, 2012, in Ponce Inlet, Fla.
Brian was a mechanic at K.C. Nielsen John Deere in Titonka. His co-workers and his customers were an extension of his family. When he wasn’t working, he was tinkering in the shop with his boys, Trevor and Oliver. He was a proud Dad and loved the fact his boys took interest in the same things he loved. It’s not often you would find him in his shop without his little sidekick Oliver. He loved his family time with Allie and his children. Being a Papa to his “Tweety” Astelle brought him so much happiness. He looked forward to Sunday afternoon visits on the farm with his Tweety. Brian enjoyed camping with a wild and crazy camping crew where lots of laughs were shared over campfires and Busch Lights. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycling and his ‘81 Chevy pickup. He became a member of the Titonka Fire Department in July 2014, proudly becoming assistant fire chief in January of this year. He formed lifelong friendships with his second set of brothers. The family would like to express gratitude for all of the kind words, hugs, prayers and food. Special thank you to Titonka Fire Department/EMS who will assist in bringing Brian home to the farm to his family.
Brian died Sunday, April 7, at the age of 45.
Brian is survived by his wife Allie of Titonka; two sons, Trevor (Faith) McNamara of Burt, and Oliver at home; a granddaughter, Astelle, and a grandson Levi is expected in July. He is also survived by his parents, LeRoy and Barbara Janssen of Titonka; his parents-in-law, Mark and Beth Ebaugh of Clear Lake; two brothers, Douglas Janssen of Titonka and Christopher (Beth) Janssen of Sheffield; a brother-in-law, Drew Ebaugh of Port Orange, Fla.; his nieces and nephews, Adrian, Levi, Ky, Josie, James, Dustin, Jenna and Bryce Janssen; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy on April 21, 2022; and his grandparents.
