Altman places 94th at State

Lead Summary

In her first year out for cross-country, Bishop Garrigan junior Alisa Altman placed 94th at the Class 1A state meet held at the Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge on Saturday, Oct. 29 with her time of 22:47.4.
“Alisa did an awesome job today,” said Golden Bear Coach Cassie Rowley.  “She was very nervous before the race and I told her at the starting line to relax and take things in because she is going to be right back here next season.
“She started slow but I thought she looked more relaxed as the race went on.  This is still all new to her being her first year of cross-country and it is amazing how far she has come since our first meet of the season at Spencer.
“Hopefully this experience will give her a lot of confidence for the season next year.  I hope that next year we can bring all her teammates down here to run as she can be the leader and show them what to expect down here.”
