Wild weather swings and the Farmers Market

In cool favoring crops, like spinach, lettuce, and broccoli, watch for physical changes in your plants in response to the heat. 
Besides adding shade and water, there isn’t much you can do to combat the heat other than pick these items sooner than usual. Spinach may “bolt” or begin to flower and go to seed in response to the extreme heat. ...
