
West Bend-Mallard scored early and often in a 73-28, eight-man district football victory over the Clay Central-Everly Mavericks in a contest played in West Bend that concluded homecoming week for the purple-and-gold.
The Wolverines exploded for 44 points in the opening 12 minutes of action and led 44-6 at the conclusion of the first period, increased its advantage to 59-6 at intermission and also led 65-12 heading into the final quarter of play.
Dexter Knobloch rushed for three scores for the Wolverines, including a long of 39 yards and also booted a PAT kick while teammate Trinton Schmidt returned a kickoff 60 yards for another touchdown for the home team.
