On Monday, Oct. 10, Dan Elbert of Elbert Chevrolet in Whittemore announced that, after 62 years of serving Whittemore and the surrounding areas, the Elbert family will terminate their Chevrolet franchise and will merge with Kemna Auto Center of Algona.
“It’s a sad day for all of us here, but looking forward, we were faced with the increasing complexity, technology and investment required to maintain a Chevrolet dealership, delivering the kind of sales and service experience our customers deserve,” said Elbert. “It became evident that the best course of action was to merge with Kemna Auto Group in Algona.
