Most of his life was growing up on a farm near Algona where he showed cattle in 4-H, road motorcycles, snowmobiles, go carts, wrestled for many, many years and spent a lot of precious time with his extended family enjoying picnics, riding horses, mulligan stew cookouts, Petersen Christmas at the school gym and so many more amazing memories.

He then worked for Charleston Rigging for many years until he moved to Columbia, S.C. where he worked at Carolina Fabricators. Many of his best friends worked right along side him and will miss him immensely.
Troy had his only child, his daughter Kaeli (the light of his life) in 1998.
When not working Troy enjoyed boating, attending NASCAR races, concerts and spending time with family and friends.
Troy is survived by his daughter Kaeli Canaday, dad Russ (Sharon) Canaday, mom Sharon (Keith Anderson) Fagan, sister Tammy Smith (husband David), nephew and niece Collin and Francesca along with Grandma Verona Canaday and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
