Clarke and Doris (Krantz) Miller in Estherville on Oct. 27, 1952. He grew up on the family farm outside Titonka, a small town of 500 people in north central Iowa. In his teenage years, Tim helped with the farming operation including hauling loads of corn and soybeans to the local grain elevator long before he had a driver’s license. He was active in sports in the small Titonka high school which kept his schedule filled as he was still expected to do his farm chores.
Tim graduated from Titonka High School in 1970. He then attended Morningside College before leaving for the mountains of Colorado and later the sunshine of California..
Tim married Judy Henderson on April 21, 1979, in Huntington Beach, Calif. They had two sons, Nicholas Clarke and Jesse Raymond. His work career found them living in cities around the U.S., including southern California and eventually Sacramento. During this time, Tim completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees through The Peter Drucker School of Management at the Claremont Colleges. The majority of his working years were spent with Master Halco and eventually a partner in Security Contractor Services in Sacramento.
Tim enjoyed traveling with Judy around the U.S. and Europe. They loved being with their friends, whether sharing a glass of wine or in their motorhome. Recent years found Tim having a new love, that of his two granddaughters, Maia and Luca.
Tim is survived by his wife, Judy; his sons, Nick (Hitomi) Miller and daughter Luca, Playa del Rey, Calif., and Jesse (Hannah) Miller and daughter, Maia, Arlington, Texas; his brother, Greg Miller, Hudson, Wis.; sister, Valerie (Doug) Woods, Cherokee; nieces and nephews and friends.
