The 24th edition of the Kossuth County Advance Girls All-Area Basketball Team is highlight by a trio of all-staters from Class 1A state runner-up Bishop Garrigan as all three returned to the first-team again this winter.
Heading the talented group of six all-area young ladies is Bishop Garrigan sophomores Audi Crooks and Molly Joyce as the pair was once again named first-team all-state and was joined as returnees by senior teammate Kaylyn Meyers, who was a second-team all-state choice.
Both Crooks and Joyce were chosen to the Class 1A all-tournament team at the conclusion of the state tourney. The Golden Bear trio was joined on the first team by Rachel Fehr of West Bend-Mallard, who moves up from the second team last season along with North Union’s Sam Nielsen and Lillian Etherington of Algona.
