The Algona swim team dropped a double duel at Storm Lake on Thursday, Sept. 27 as the red-and-black fell to Storm Lake 72-22 and Spencer by the score of 66-28.
Cheyanne Fries placed first against Storm Lake in the 50-yard freestyle race with a time of 28.13 while teammate Alexa Gilbert was first against Spencer in the 100-yard breaststroke event in 1:26.74.
Individual second places against Spencer were Kaitlyn Pollack in the 100-yard butterfly with her clocking of 1:19.23, Kirsten Natterstad in the 500-yard freestyle in 6:44.31 and Madison Valen in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:27.64.
