AMES—West Bend-Mallard had a great showing in their season opener at the Class 1A girls’ state indoor meet that took place on Friday. March 8 at Iowa State.

The purple-and-gold compiled a team total of 31 points to finish in second place in the team standings and Bishop Garrigan had one athlete compete and scored four points to place 33^rd.
