LYTTON—For the first time in two years, the West Bend-Mallard Wolverines’ softball squad competed in a game on Wednesday, May 24.

The purple-and-gold, who are playing a junior varsity schedule this summer, fell to South Central Calhoun by the score of 20-5 in four innings.

The Wolverines registered three hits in the loss as Laelah Crawmer, Mercy Thilges and Paige Frerk all had singles in the season opener.
