NEWELL—On Saturday, June 7, the North Union Warriors’ softball squad split a pair of games in the Newell tournament. The green-black-and-silver edged Sioux Central by the score of 5-4 but fell to third-ranked Newell-Fonda 19-5 in four innings.

In the first game, the Warriors plated single runs in the first, second and third frames before adding two insurance runs in the fifth as the Rebels scored twice in both the fifth and seventh stanzas.
