NEWELL—With Top of Iowa Conference matches completed, the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears volleyball squad stepped outside of league play on Thursday, Oct. 6 and fell to Newell-Fonda in three straight sets.

The Mustangs, ranked No. 6 in the latest Class 1A rankings, won the opening game by the score of 25-13 before taking the second set by the count of 25-11 and ended the match with a 25-16 win in the third game.
