CLARION—Senior Ben Helmers continued his recent torrid scoring streak by tossing in 40 more points to help the Algona Bulldogs rally to a 70-53 North Central Conference boys basketball win on Monday, Feb. 3 over the Clarion-Goldfield/Cowboys.

Helmers has poured in 214 points in his last six games for a scoring average of 35.6 points per contest. The Bulldogs trailed 53-49 going into the fourth quarter where they blanked the Cowboys 21-0 in the period to earn the win.
