HAMPTON—A hot shooting second quarter expanded a five-point first stanza lead to help lead the Algona Bulldog boys basketball team to a 73-35 North Central Conference road victory over the Hampton-Dumont Bulldogs on Friday, Jan. 10.

The visitors held a 17-12 lead at the conclusion of the first period before extending that advantage to 44-21 at intermission. Algona took a commanding 62-27 lead into the final eight minutes of action.
