ALGONA—Two Algona pitchers limited Pocahontas Area to just one hit as the Bulldogs defeated the red-and-white 7-1 in a non-conference softball contest played on Monday, June 2.

The red-and-black scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning and exploded for five more in the fifth as the visitors scored their only tally in the top of the sixth frame.
