Algona boys improve to 7-6 in NCC action

 

ALGONA—Algona went over the .500 mark in North Central Conference play and moved into fourth place in the league on Friday, Feb. 10 with a 70-60 victory over Hampton-Dumont.

The opening frame went back and forth with Hampton-Dumont leading by one point at 18-17 at the conclusion of the stanza.

Algona used the free throw line to take a 34-23 advantage at intermission as the squad went nine of 13 at the charity stripe in the period.
