SPENCER—Placing two golfers in the top six finishers, the Algona Bulldog girls golf squad took the runner-up place in the eight-team Spencer Invitational held at the Spencer Golf & Country Club on Monday, May 5.

The red-and-black had a team total on Monday of 398 that was topped only by Spencer’s winning score of 374 as Estherville-Lincoln Central was right behind the Bulldogs in third place with a 399.
