ADEL—Algona got a great pitching performance from senior right-hander Miles Goche but fell just short in the opening round of the Class 3A sub-state baseball opener on Friday, July 8.

The red-and-black led early but fell to the ADM Tigers by the final score of 3-1. The Bulldogs ended the 2022 season with an overall record of 12-17 while the Tigers advanced to the next round with a season mark of 19-8.
