Schmidt finishes 10th at NCC meet

Hailey Schmidt finished in 10th place overall in the North Central Conference cross-country meet and the Algona Bulldog girls’ squad ended up in fourth place overall with 110 points.
The conference meet took place in Algona on Tuesday, Oct. 10 as Humboldt won the team title with 24 points and the Wildcats’ Bryce Gidel won the individual title in 19:19.57.
Schmidt was clocked in 21:28.33 over the 3.2 mile course at the River Road Golf Course as Ashley Steenhoek placed 17th in 22:41.21 and Carley Mullins was 23rd for the red-and-black with her time of 23:10.39.
