Phyllis G. Jensen, 92, died peacefully Friday, April 21, at the Solon Care Center surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services was held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 24, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City with Rev. Rebecca Carver officiating. Graveside Committal was at 4 p.m., Monday at River View Cemetery in Algona. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.
Phyllis was born Feb. 16, 1925, in Ft. Dodge. On Dec. 7, 1957, Phyllis married Duane Jensen at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Phyllis moved to Iowa City in 2008 and was a resident at Melrose Meadows.
Survivors include her four children, Gregory (Darlene) Hatch of Panama City Beach, Fla., Kathleen (James) Kikendall of Iowa City, Christine (Luther) Fairbanks of Indianola and Carol (Philip) Rosenbaum of Edina, Minn.; three grandchildren, Anne (Tracy) Sudbrock, Sam and Alexa Rosenbaum; great grandchildren, Trey and Abigail Sudbrock; great great grandchild, Kaden Sudbrock.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Duane in 2008 and two grandsons, Justin and Travis Fairbanks.
