TITONKA -— A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, at Oakcrest Funeral Services, Titonka. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Graveside service was held at 9 a.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017 at Good Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Titonka.
Patricia Haines was born on Sept. 10, 1931, in Oskaloosa, the daughter of Lemuel and Louise (Callies) Stockwell. She was baptized on July 31, 1932 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Titonka. She was confirmed in April of 1944 at Good Hope Lutheran Church in Titonka. Pat grew up in Titonka, graduating from Titonka Consolidated Schools in 1949. Following high school, Pat completed the Nurse’s Aide Training and library education. 
On Dec. 18, 1950, she married Peter Haines. To this union were two children, Terry and Trudy. 
Pat worked as an in home nurse’s aide for a few years. She was also a dressmaker from 1967 – 1997. She was very involved in the Titonka Community. She volunteered at the Titonka Library for about four years, was on the Election Board, a member of the Centennial committee and American Legion Auxiliary, a Brownie Leader, volunteered for the local Bloodmobile fund drives, was a Sunday School Teacher and ran voter elections for many years. 
She enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting and embroidering, hand making greeting cards, putting puzzles together, and watching TV. She always enjoyed learning something new on TV and was willing to watch any show she could learn something from. Pat rarely missed a morning coffee and always looked forward to getting together with other ladies. She enjoyed her visits to Colorado and spending time with her grandchildren. 
Pat is survived by her two children, Terry Haines of Brighton, Colo., Trudy Haines (married to Glen Colton) of Ft. Collins, Colo.; granddaughter, Paige Haines; step-grandchildren, Sam Cuellar, and Anissa Scherrer; step-great-grandchildren, Aunjené Scherrer, Elias Scherrer and Dylan Cuellar, and many nieces and nephews. 
Preceding her in death are her husband, Peter; parents; brother, Lee Stockwell; sister, Priscilla Earl; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Stockwell and Georgia Stockwell.
