Governor Ray speaks in Ledyard

Mr. J. M. Taylor arrived at Oregon, on the 31st ult.  His trip from this place occupied twenty days.  The steamer on which he took passage from San Fransisco was kept in quarantine off Portland four days on account of a supposed case of small pox, which turned out to be measles.  He found the friends all well.  His health is much better than when he set out.
