The Fruit of the Spirit is Christ

In Galatians 5:22-23 we read St. Paul’s great catalog of the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. 

In order for us to truly understand any one of these fruits of the Spirit, and to recognize and rejoice when the Spirit produces these fruits in us, we must first see that the best word to describe these divine nouns is, in fact, fruit.
