Rosetta May (Brown) Hard was born Nov. 4, 1934, to Louie and Gladys Brown at their home outside of Dow City. She joined one brother Leo, and later her sisters, Betty and Carolyn, and brother, Richard, completed the Brown family.
Rosetta attended grade school and high school at Dow City – Arion Community School where she graduated in 1953. After high school, she attended a business college in Omaha, Neb., and worked for a real estate office in their business department.

Regina Hagg, age 94 of Algona, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at the Algona Manor Care Center. Funeral services are 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Algona, with the Rev. Leroy John Grandgenett passed away Feb. 4, 2019, at the age of 87. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife of 61 years and his family.

Joanne Mary Hackett, 86, Omaha, Neb., passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, at Golden Living Center in Plattsmouth, Neb.

James Rush Kolp passed away peacefully Feb. 2, 2019, at the age of 90. He was born June 1, 1928, to Lida Saunders Kolp and James Rush Kolp, Sr., and grew up in Ida Grove.

Florence M. Pickard, 92, Mason City, died peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Debra Gaedke, age 50 of Des Moines and formerly of Irvington, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at her home. Funeral services were Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Algona, with the Rev. Eric Hauan officiating. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Irvington.

Marvin Broesder, 78, Lone Rock, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Diane Marie Logue, 65, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, at her home in Independence, Minn. A memorial service will be held at Parkside Church, 9560 Paradise Lane, Waconia, Minn. on Wednesday, Feb. 13. Jerry Brown, age 80 of Osceola, Wis., and formerly of Livermore, passed away Jan. 27, 2019, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center, Algona. He was born Feb. 28, 1938. Sylvester Earnest Brace was born May 4, 1925, in Burt, the son of Gerald and Tressie (Ringsdorf) Brace. He grew up on a farm near Burt, graduating from Burt High School in 1943.
