It is with a heavy heart the Bradley family announces the passing of Todd Anthony Bradley formerly of Algona.
Todd died unexpectedly March 13 at his Mother’s residence in Marble Hill, Mo.  He succumbed from complications caused by a severe stroke he suffered six years earlier. His body was laid to rest along side his aunt, Maureen Angle and his stepfather Ron Aure in a small cemetery outside of Marble Hill.

Kerry Coleman, age 60 of Livermore, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at his home in Livermore. 
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., at Faith United Methodist Church in Livermore with Rev. Alberta Ervin officiating. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in Livermore. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 p.m., at Lentz Funeral Home in Livermore.

Loretta Binzen, 95, passed away March 18, 2017.  
Her husband, Robert, daughter Eileen, and son Robert, Jr. precede her in death.  She is survived by her daughters Pat, Kathy and Jo Ann, 10 grand children, 17 great grand children and one great great grandchild.

A memorial service for Lee Kirchgatter was held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at First Lutheran Church, Algona with Pastor Phil Olson and the Rev. Norman Bauer officiating.  Visitation was held one hour prior to the service, also at the church.  Inurnment was held in the Newburg Township Cemetery.

Curtis Gardner, 88, of Algona, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Hawkeye Care Center in Spirit Lake.
Curtis Moore Gardner was born to Delos Gardner and Marguerite (Moore) Gardner on Sept. 13, 1928, in Algona. On Aug. 9, 1974, Curtis married Shirley (Bagge) Ricklefs at the Good Hope Church in Lone Rock.

ALGONA — A memorial service for Kay “Tots” Voigt, will be held Friday, March 24, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., at Oakcrest Funeral Services of Algona with the Rev. Edward M. Girres of St. Cecelia Catholic Church officiating. Her family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

BANCROFT — A funeral Mass for Valeria C. Lynch was held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at 11 a.m., at St. John’s Catholic Church, Bancroft, with the Rev. Sunny Dominic officiating. Burial was in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Bancroft.

A funeral service was held for Louise McFarland at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, Algona, with the Rev. Mike Orthel and the Rev. Verlyn Schaap officiating.  Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Oakcrest Funeral Services, Algona.  Interment was in the Burt Township Cemetery.

Eugene Kessel, 84, of Lakota died Friday, March 17, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society - Algona. There will be graveside services held at a later date at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Lakota. Oakcrest Funeral Services handled arrangements. Condolences may be left at www.oakcrestfuneralservices.com.

Frank Joseph Schemmel was born on Sept. 1, 1950, in Fort Dodge, the son of John and Lorraine (Hatten) Schemmel. In his younger years he attended St. John’s Catholic School but joined the Marines before graduating. While in the Marines he obtained his G.E.D. and took some college courses.

Patricia Connor, age 61, of Livermore, passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at the Paula J Baber Hospice House in Fort Dodge. 
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 18, at 11 a.m., at Faith United Methodist Church in Livermore.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Friday at the Lentz Funeral Home in Livermore.

Robert “Bob” Lane, 87, of Renwick died Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at his home near Renwick. Funeral services were celebrated on Monday, March 13, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the Renwick United Methodist Church with Reverend Lynn Gardner officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery with military honors provided by the Harvey-McPeak American Legion Post No. 289 of Renwick.

A funeral service for Evelyn Hunt, 92, of Algona, was held 10:30 Monday, March 13, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Algona with the Rev. Michael Orthel officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Algona.

Patricia Lea Maahs came into this world on July 24th, 1935. She was the daughter of Arthur and Verna Obrecht who raised and educated her in Algona. In 1954, she was joined in marriage to Herbert Hensley and to this marriage she became the mother to three children, Kevin, Kimberly and Bruce. In 1971, she married Robert Maahs and with this union, Maahs Auction Service became something the couple took pride in.
