Visitation will be Friday evening Jan. 6, 2017, from 4-7 p.m., at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Titonka and one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will be at the Buffalo Township Cemetery near Titonka.

Curtis P. Haahr the son of Peter and Eleonora (Johansen) Haahr was born Jan. 18, 1921, in Ringsted, Iowa. He died on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016, at the Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, at the age of 95.

Buscher, 83, of Algona, was held on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at 11 a.m., at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with a Flag Presentation Ceremony conducted by the Hagg-Turner American Legion Post No. 90 and the V.F.W. Post No. 2541 of Algona.

Seven years ago we lost a great man, and in the early morning hours of Dec. 15, 2016, his love left to meet him.
This beloved pair married on May 7, 1966, and the seven years apart just seemed too much for Trudy’s heart. While we will miss them greatly, it soothes us to know they are together in Heaven along with the ever faithful, Lillie. Watching, guiding and loving us until we meet again.

Edward Kenneth Gentry, son of Homer and Anna (Schabacker) Gentry was born Nov. 5, 1936, in Havelock. He attended school in Havelock. Edward entered the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. While there, he met his future wife, Shirley.  
On Sept. 28, 1957, Edward married Shirley Evelyn O’Haver in Rolla, Mo. He and Shirley were blessed with four children.

Graveside services will be held in Amsterdam Cemetery, Kanawha, Iowa.
Vesta passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016 at Hancock County Memorial Hospital, Britt. She was 91.

Gerald Benjamin Thilges was born Sept. 13, 1941, in Algona, the son of Arthur and Agnes (Besch) Thilges. He grew up in Algona where he also attended school and was in the first graduating class from Bishop Garrigan High School in 1960.
