Peter Nguyen celebrating. Burial will be in St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona, with a 7 p.m., Rosary.

Joann Payne, age 68, of West Bend, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center, Mason City. She was 68.  
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Evangelical Free Church, Algona, with the Rev. Brock Younger officiating. Visitation was held at 1 p.m., until the time of the services at the Evangelical Free Church.

Norm Bauer officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Algona. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m., Sunday at First Lutheran Church in Algona.

Virginia (Ginny) Friedrich, age 69 of Algona, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.  Memorial services were held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Algona with Rev. Tom Schlund officiating.  The Lentz Funeral Home in Algona is serving the family.

Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery with military honors provided by V.F.W Post #2541 and the American Legion Hagg-Turner Post #90 of Algona.

Visitation will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. until the time of the services at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.

Dora Williams, age 76, of Humboldt, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held on Monday, May 1 at 6 p.m., at Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt with Rev. Christy Ehrle officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 p.m., until the time of the services at the church.

Patricia “Trish” Ann Johnson-Doss, age 66, of Burt, passed away on May 6, 2017 at her home.  No services are planned at this time.       

Patricia Gove, the daughter of Marshal and Winnefred (Round) Gove, was born on May 14, 1950 in Dusseldorf, Germany.  In 1968 she graduated from Lincoln Senior High School in Bloomington, Minn.  On Sept. 30, 1991, Trish married Jeff Doss at the Renaissance Festival in Shakopee, Minn.

Funeral services were held on Monday, May 1, 2017, at 11 a.m., at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona with Rev. Karen Dearchs officiating. Visitation was held on Sunday, May 30, from 3-5 p.m., at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona.

Mary Wiltgen, age 95 of Algona, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society in Algona. Private family services will be held.
Mary Margaret Wiltgen, the daughter of Leo William and Grace Josephine (Reiss Mahon, was born on Sept. 20, 1921, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.  She graduated from Hanover High School in 1940 and attended Business College.

TITONKA — Fireman First Class William H. Kennedy, 24, of Titonka died Dec. 7, 1941, in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on board the USS Battleship Oklahoma when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor at 8 a.m., that Sunday morning. After 75 years, the remains of Fireman 1st Class William H. Kennedy have been identified and will be brought home for burial next to his mother in the Buffalo Township Cemetery, Titonka.

A memorial Mass for James Heiderscheidt will take place on Friday at 1:30 p.m., at St. Cecelia Catholic Church with the Rev. Edward M. Girres and Rev. Mr. Bill Black officiating. His family will greet friends from 12:30 p.m., until time of the Mass at the church. Private family inurnment with military honors conducted by the Whittemore American Legion will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Algona.
