Delores Jean Boettcher, the daughter of Norman and Esther (Christian) Finnestad was born Aug. 25, 1934, on a farm near Fenton. She passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Lakeside Lutheran Home at her assisted living apartment in Emmetsburg, at the age of 83.

John “Jack” Hardgrove, age 67, of Livermore and formerly of Algona passed away on April 16, 2018, at the Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa in Mason City. Memorial services were held on Friday April 20, at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona, with Rev. Dick Tappe officiating.

Steven McCloud officiating, Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., on Friday at Oakcrest Funeral Services of Bancroft with an Altar Society Rosary beginning at 4 p.m.

ALGONA — Patricia "Pat" Penning, 79, of Algona, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018, at Kossuth Regional Health Center with her family by her side.
 
Patricia was born to Raymond and Mary Ann (Pigman) Perkins on July 12, 1938, at Park Hospital in Mason City.
 
She attended Corwith High School, and upon graduation, continued her education at a Christian College.

Mass of Christian Burial for Rev. Cecil Friedmann will be celebrated at 11a.m., on Monday, April 23, 2018, at St. Cecelia Catholic Church with Bishop R. Walker Nickless officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Alton. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., on Sunday, April 22, 2018, with a Knights of Columbus rosary at 4 p.m., and a wake service at 7 p.m., at the Friedmann Auditorium at Bishop Garrigan High School.

BURT — Mabeline Lovstad, age 96, of Burt, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Good Samaritan Care Center in Algona. Memorial services were held on Monday at the Burt Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Judy Junkermeier officiating. Burial will be held in East Lawn Cemetery in Algona.

Milo Thomas, the son of William and Clara (Kern) Shaveland, was born at Mallard, Dec. 27, 1927, the oldest of two children.  Milo attended the Mallard Community School, graduating in 1945. After graduation, he farmed with his father. Milo lived on the family farm with the exception of a couple years when he was younger.

WEST BEND — Berniece Louise Banwart, daughter of the late Silas and Ida (Benninger) Banwart, was born on Dec. 16, 1922, at West Bend, and died at the West Bend Care Center, on April 11, 2018.
Berniece received her education in Garfield Township #1 country school for eight years, and attended West Bend High School one year. She took several night classes and some by correspondence and received her GED.

 
GARNER – Marilyn M. Bredlow, 89, of Garner died Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Algona.
 
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday, April 13th at the United Methodist Church in Garner with Rev. Les Green officiating.  Burial will be in Concord Township Cemetery.
