Sharon Miller, 86 of Algona, passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls, S.D. Funeral services were held on Monday, Sept. 16 at 11 a.m. at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona. Burial took place at Hampton Cemetery in Hampton. Visitation was on Monday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona. Services were entrusted to Lentz Funeral Home of Algona.
Sharon Lee Miller, the daughter of Charles A. and Alice M. (Woodley) Stock, was born on Aug. 6, 1938, in Dumont. She graduated from Chapin High School in 1955. Sharon was united in marriage to Marvin Claus Miller on June 2, 1973, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Sharon worked as an Administrative Secretary for the Good Samaritan Society. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Algona and was a part of their Ladies Aid. Sharon enjoyed restoring dolls. Sharon will be remembered for many things. Family was the most important thing to her as she loved unconditionally. Her love for Jesus, she would help anyone that needed it. Her kindness and compassion for everyone.
Left to cherish Sharon’s memory are her children, Karen (Doug) Symens of Hampton and Kathy Crawford of Phoenix, Ariz.; step-children, Tim (Cathy) Miller of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Doug (Julia) Miller of Cherokee; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Myrna Yakel of Hampton; and brother, Larry (Bonnie) Stock of Johnston. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and husband.
