Russell Bird, 72, of West Des Moines, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Unity Point Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. No services are scheduled at this time. Russ is lovingly remembered by his wife, Charrisse; two sons, Joshua (Sarah) and Travis (Emily); and one grandson, Sawyer. He is also survived by his siblings, Cheryl (Mike) Muller, Mike (Cindy) and Connie Bird. Russ was preceeded in death by his mother Jean, father Charlie and younger brother Curtis. Russ was a loyal friend to many and will be greatly missed.
