Funeral services for Priscilla Winger will be held Friday, Sept. 8, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Algona. Burial will be in the Lu  Verne Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services on Friday.

Priscilla Victoria Winger was born Aug. 4, 1942, in Miami, Ariz., the daughter of Troy and Lola Belle (Snowden) Burch. The family moved a few times with her father’s job and Priscilla graduated from high school in Fruita, Colo., in 1960. After high school they moved and settled in Minnesota. Priscilla was working for Unisys when she met her future husband.

On Feb. 9, 1974, Priscilla was united in marriage to Robert Winger in Fridley, Minn. After their marriage they lived in Elk River, Minn., where they raised their family.

Priscilla stayed home to take care of the home and kids. When the kids started in school she often volunteered at the school to stay involved as much as she could. She enjoyed gardening, baking, crocheting, sewing and bird watching. They also enjoyed visiting and camping the North Shore in Minnesota. They retired in Ozark, Mo., where Priscilla was very active in their church and later moved back to Lu Verne to be closer to family.

Priscilla died Thursday, Aug. 31 surrounded by her family at her home in Lu Verne at the age of 81.

She is survived by her husband, Robert of Lu Verne; children, Timothy (Mandy) Winger of Oak Grove, Minn.; Titus (Jamie) Winger of Cape Coral, Fla.; Rachel (Chris) McPeak of Lu Verne; grandchildren, Rikki (Gina), Trevor, Zoe and Ariel Winger; Victoria (Foster) Brown; Benjamin and Nathan McPeak; great-grandchildren, Daxton, Mario and Luigi Winger and Ellianna Brown. Also surviving is a brother, Aquila Burch of Turnersville, Texas; brother-in-law, Gary Winger of North St. Paul, Minn.; sister-in-law, Alice (Jim) Weaver of Spanaway, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
