Margaret Lacy Herbst passed peacefully from this world on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, at the age of 94. She is now reunited with her husband, Ted.

Margaret was born Sept 26, 1929, in Highland Park, Ill. to Kenneth and Anna Lacy. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bob and sister Betty. She is survived by daughters Lori (Bob) Dominiczak and Teri (John) Bill. She also leaves behind grandchildren Jacob (Elaine) Bill and Sara (Rob) Hamer; great-grandchildren Fynn and Henry Bill, and many nieces and nephews.

She loved spending time at the cottage on Lake Thompson in Rhinelander, Wis. throughout her life, which is where she met her then-to-be husband. She was a long-time member of First Congregational Church UCC in Algona and more recently of Ozaukee Congregational Church, Grafton, Wis. She was also a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood throughout her adult life, most recently in Chapter BV-Mequon.

A service of remembrance followed by an open house reception will be held Tuesday, Jan. 30 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Fairway Knoll, N112W17500 Mequon Road, Germantown, Wis. An inurnment service will be held at Northland Memorial Park in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, this summer. Memorials in memory of Margaret can be sent to The Salvation Army, First Congregational United Church of Christ in Algona or Ozaukee Congregational Church in Grafton, Wis.
