Julie supported everything her children and grandchildren did, from going to garage sales, ball games and go-kart racing to just hanging out with them and having fun at whatever they were doing. She held many positions in her life, including the Algona Chamber of Commerce and enjoyed being surrounded by people. Julie was a tremendous cook, especially desserts. She always looked forward to Christmas and made favorite cookies and treats for everyone. Julie liked cats and enjoyed when ‘Chip’ kept her company.

Julie is survived by her husband, Daniel Culbertson of Bode; children, Tiffany (Curtis) Hoakison, Melanie Reynolds (Derek Calahan) and Sierra (Ben) Jorgensen; grandchildren, Mariah Thompson (Zach) and their daughter Raylee Thompson, Chelsey Hoakison, Colton Hoakison, D’Arien Calahan, Damarion Calahan and Danicka Calahan. She is also survived by her siblings Larry Mino and Angela Thompson, mother-in-law Marvel Culbertson, sisters-in-law, Kim (Kevin) Benson, Kris (Brice) Hoyt and many nieces and nephews.
