A funeral Mass for Judith Ann Rosenmeyer will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Divine Mercy Parish – St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 9 at Divine Mercy Parish – St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley. Burial will be held in the St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery following the Mass.
Judith Ann (Frideres) Rosenmeyer, born on New Year’s Eve in 1941; the daughter of Ervin and Rosella (Muller) Frideres. She grew up in St. Benedict and graduated from Garrigan High School in 1960.
On June 12, 1962, she was united in marriage to Ronald Rosenmeyer in St. Benedict. They were blessed with six children.
She was the proud owner and operator of U and I used clothing in Algona. She took pride in offering quality clothing at affordable prices, always with a smile and a kind word for her customers. She was a member of the CD of A for many years.
Judith Ann found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for playing cards and cherished her time spent with her card club. She enjoyed traveling to the children and grandchildren’s activities. Judith Ann also found great joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, showering them with love and creating cherished memories. In her leisure time, she could often be found enjoying leisurely walks.
Judith Ann died Friday, May 3 at West Bend Health and Rehabilitation. She was 82.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald of Wesley; children, Ann Rosenmeyer of Mason City and her children, Brandon (Cassie) Rowley their children Liam, Brody and Henlee, Dustin Rowley, Tyler (Cassidy) Dodds and their daughter Emerson, and Kelli Rowley, her children Raevyn and Rose; Mike Rosenmeyer of Urbandale and his son Owen; Levi (Kristy) Rosenmeyer of Wesley and their children Logan (Sadie) Rosenmeyer and their son Rhett, Jackson, Gracie and Ellie Rosenmeyer; Ryan (Danielle) Rosenmeyer of Anthem, Ariz. and their children Caden, Mabel, Stella, Liza and Orion Rosenmeyer; Steve (Alison) Rosenmeyer of Wesley and their children Wyatt, Weston and Walker Rosenmeyer; Jill (Jared) Bodammer of Frederick, Colo., and their children Landon, Tristan, Lily and Taelyn. Judith Ann is also survived by her siblings, Carol (David-Gruber) Ludwig of Corwith, Jack (Pat) Frideres of Gardner, Ill., Ann (Jerry) Besch of Waukee, Patricia (Kevin) Roethler of Algona, Jane Missal of Algona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents Ervin and Rosella Frideres; stepfather Marvin Eischen; parents-in-law Alvin and Agnes Rosenmeyer; granddaughter Claire Rosenmeyer; infant twin brother and sister Peter and Katherine, sister-in-law Patsy (Ralph) Morey; and brother-in-law Jim Rosenmeyer.
