James Dean St. John, 93, of Pea Ridge, Ark., died Nov. 19, 2024, at NW Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark.
He was born Sept. 19, 1931, in Algona, to George Morris St. John and Elizabeth Ruth Carroll St. John. James was a Korean War Navy Veteran from 1951-1955 and later married Rhonda Hammond on Aug. 5, 1957. He enjoyed restoring old cars, woodworking, feeding the birds and puttering around his home. James was a member of the Pea Ridge United Methodist Church and is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Perry St. John; sister, Donna St. John-Meyer and her husband Don.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda St. John; daughter Delyce Palik and husband Jerry of Pea Ridge; grandchildren, Jason Palik (Sarah), Jennifer Palik (Mallory); great-grandchildren, Judd, Lilly and Iris; extended family, Eleanor St, John, Darrell Hammond, Monte Hammond (Diana); Rick Adams (Margo), their children and grandchildren, Joshua Adams (Jennifer), Madison, James, Olivia; Jesse Adams (Dawn); Joel Kroft (Louise), their children, Michaela, Marissa, Melaina (Dustin), many nieces and nephews, and a host of others that fondly called him “Pa”.
A Celebration of Life gathering was held at the family home on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 2 – 4 p.m.
