Dianna Roeder, age 80, of Algona, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, in Edmonds, Wash. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 25 at the Divine Mercy Catholic Parish - St. Cecelia in Algona. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 24 at the Lentz Funeral Home in Algona.
Dianna Marie Altman, the daughter of John and Eulalia (Gales) Altman, was born on Nov. 14, 1942, in Algona. She graduated from Bishop Garrigan High School in 1961. Dianna married her high school sweetheart, John Roeder, on Sept. 28, 1963, at St. Cecelia Catholic Church. Dianna worked for the Algona Community School District for 18 years and then she and John owned and operated the Algona Vault Service, retiring in 2006 and they did some traveling.
Dianna enjoyed having coffee with her friends, golfing and playing in tournaments with John, family and friends, playing cards, traveling and wintering in Arizona. Family was very important to Dianna, her children and granddaughter were her top priority. She also enjoyed family gatherings with her siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Left to cherish Dianna’s memory are her children, Sandra (Bret) Seefeld of Oro Valley, Ariz. and Steven (Maki Aoki) Roeder of Seattle, Wash.; granddaughter, Erica Roeder of Seattle, Wash.; and brothers, John Altman of Tempe, Ariz. and Thomas Altman of Algona. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John in 2018; and brothers; Eldon, Merlyn and Robert Altman.
