Brenda Ann Schamber, 81, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Jan. 21, 2022.
Born on a farm in Whittemore, Brenda was a daughter of the late Lorenz and June Gade. Brenda earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Concordia Seward. She served the Lord as a teacher, a librarian and an administrative assistant across Lutheran schools, seminary and TV ministry Worship Anew.
Surviving are her husband, John Schamber; children; Steven (Elaine) Schamber, Sharon (Jim) Connick; grandchildren, David, Peter, Sara and Abigail; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Rachel (Del) Jentz and Paul (Kathy) Gade.
Brenda was preceded in death by her brother David Gade. Service was 5:30 p.m., Jan. 25, 2022, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with calling one hour prior. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne, Ind. Memorials may be made to Worship Anew. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
