Patricia “Trish” Ann Johnson-Doss, age 66, of Burt, passed away on May 6, 2017 at her home.  No services are planned at this time.       

Patricia Gove, the daughter of Marshal and Winnefred (Round) Gove, was born on May 14, 1950 in Dusseldorf, Germany.  In 1968 she graduated from Lincoln Senior High School in Bloomington, Minn.  On Sept. 30, 1991, Trish married Jeff Doss at the Renaissance Festival in Shakopee, Minn.

Gordon Baer, age 85 of Algona, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society in Algona. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 1, 2017, at 11 a.m., at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona with Rev. Karen Dearchs officiating. Visitation was held on Sunday, May 30, from 3-5 p.m., at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona.

Mary Wiltgen, age 95 of Algona, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society in Algona. Private family services will be held.
Mary Margaret Wiltgen, the daughter of Leo William and Grace Josephine (Reiss Mahon, was born on Sept. 20, 1921, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.  She graduated from Hanover High School in 1940 and attended Business College.

TITONKA — Fireman First Class William H. Kennedy, 24, of Titonka died Dec. 7, 1941, in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on board the USS Battleship Oklahoma when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor at 8 a.m., that Sunday morning. After 75 years, the remains of Fireman 1st Class William H. Kennedy have been identified and will be brought home for burial next to his mother in the Buffalo Township Cemetery, Titonka.

A memorial Mass for James Heiderscheidt will take place on Friday at 1:30 p.m., at St. Cecelia Catholic Church with the Rev. Edward M. Girres and Rev. Mr. Bill Black officiating. His family will greet friends from 12:30 p.m., until time of the Mass at the church. Private family inurnment with military honors conducted by the Whittemore American Legion will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Algona.

Robert “Bob” Engstrom, 86, of Algona died Monday, May 1, 2017, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center. 
Visitation will be Friday, May 5, 2017, from 4-6 p.m. at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Algona. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Orthel officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.

Dorothy Louise Butterfield was born June 26, 1945, in Algona, the daughter of Benjamin “Ben” and Margaret (Sankey) Butterfield. She grew up near Seneca where she also attended school.

Phyllis G. Jensen, 92, died peacefully Friday, April 21, at the Solon Care Center surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services was held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 24, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City with Rev. Rebecca Carver officiating. Graveside Committal was at 4 p.m., Monday at River View Cemetery in Algona. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.

James E. Hewett, 78 of St. Peter and formerly of Algona, died Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Sand Prairie Assisted Living in St. Peter, Minn.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Dr., North Mankato with visitation one hour prior to the service.

A funeral Mass was held at 1:30 p.m., at St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church, Algona, on Monday, April 17, 2017.  A visitation started at noon. 
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Annabelle’s name to the Cedar Rapids Sisters of Mercy Retirement at Sacred Heart Convent, 1125 Prairie Drive NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 52402.

Kathy Graves officiating.  A private family inurnment will take place at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.
