Youth diagnosed with HSP collecting items for children's hospital

Walker Rosenmeyer, the son of Steve and Alison Rosenmeyer of Wesley, is collecting items until Dec. 21 to deliver to Iowa City's Stead Family Children's Hospital. Items may include toys, gifts, blankets and stuffed animals.
Rosenmeyer was diagnosed with henoch-schonlein purpura in Novermber 2016, The virus attacked his kidneys, sending him to the hospital.

Bancroft annual Holidazzle Dec. 1

The annual Bancroft Holidazzle will be Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Main Street Pub and Grill. 
This year's Holidazzle fundraising will benefit the concession area at the Bancroft Memorial Baseball Park and the youth summer program.

More than $42,000 raised for food drive

Danny and Cheryl Fouarge, owners of the Chrome Restaurant, have run the annual Stuff the Trailer Food Drive at the high traffic intersection in their parking lot for 18 years. People drop of donations in food or cash donation to contribute to the Kossuth County Food Pantry. This year, the food drive raised $42,693 and collected 16,134 pounds of groceries.
