Willis and LaBerta (Ostwald) Struecker first met when friends set them up on a blind date back in 1952. Prior to being set-up on that movie date in Algona which was a double date with friends, Willis admits he knew who LaBerta was from seeing her at church as both their families attended the same Lutheran church in Whittemore.
