Read Beyond The Beaten Path is the theme chosen for the Algona Public Library’s summer reading program. More than 275 people attended the kick-off camporee event on Wednesday, June 1 at the library. Educators from the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines, Ben White, Lindsay York and Arleen Schmude, presented a nature program and brought animals for everyone to see up-close.
