ALGONA—Community members chose to honor and remember loved ones with the release of 183 butterflies during the Hospice of the Heartland’s annual memorial and butterfly release on Thursday, June 16 at the Kossuth Regional Health Center. 

The evening memorial service led by Pastor Dave Grindberg, hospice chaplain, was held prior to the releasing of the butterflies. All proceeds from the butterfly release will benefit hospice care and services.
