A new president of Bishop Garrigan Schools will be welcoming students back to school on the first day of classes on Wednesday, August 23. Christy Peterson of Algona was selected as the new president in November 2022 and officially started her duties as president of Bishop Garrigan Schools on July 1, 2023.

Peterson is taking over the role held by Lynn Miller, who retired as president on June 30.
